Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. Your expertise will help bring building projects to life, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from residential homes and cottages to docks and boathouse and renovations, from foundation to finish.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute projects.
- Construct and install frameworks, walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, siding, and other structural components.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks for foundations, sidewalks, or other structures requiring concrete work, especially with ICF.
- Install interior trim, doors and wall finishes
- Engage in renovation projects by repairing or replacing damaged woodwork, siding, or structural elements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry or construction work with a solid understanding of building processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing techniques.
- Experience working with drywall installation and finishing.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for precise craftsmanship.
- Valid construction or trade certification is preferred but not mandatory; relevant on-the-job experience is highly valued.

Pay: $23.01-$39.80 per hour
