Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Technician to join our team serving Windsor & Leamington. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of industrial and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with heavy machinery, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure optimal operation of equipment across various industries.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during repair and assembly tasks
- Assist with welding, mechanical assembly, and the installation of new machinery or components
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before breakdowns occur
- Maintain detailed service records and update maintenance logs accurately
- Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice and ensuring client satisfaction during service visits
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, equipment operation, and electrical work
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or background working with automotive repair is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, HVAC systems, or other heavy machinery is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of farm machinery or industrial equipment is advantageous
- Skilled in electrical systems repair and troubleshooting using schematics
- Experience with welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools required
- Prior mechanic experience or technical training in automotive or industrial repair is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment confidently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to clients or team members
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
