Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, and guest laundry are cleaned, pressed, and organized efficiently. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest satisfaction of our establishment. Previous hotel experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. The Laundry Attendant plays a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our hotel by providing clean and fresh linens that meet our high standards.
Duties
- Operate laundry machines such as washers and dryers to process linens, towels, and guest clothing
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned to hotel standards and properly pressed or folded for distribution
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, including equipment and workspaces
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when supplies are low
- Assist with the collection and delivery of linens to various departments within the hotel
- Follow safety procedures related to chemical handling and machine operation
- Perform light cleaning duties in the laundry area to uphold hygiene standards
Skills
- Previous hotel experience or familiarity with hospitality laundry operations is preferred
- Knowledge of laundry procedures, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding
- Strong attention to detail to ensure linens meet quality standards
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Good organizational skills for managing linen inventory and workflow
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain a tidy work environment
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
