Job Summary

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain an organized and attractive merchandise display through effective merchandising techniques
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to meet sales goals while ensuring compliance with legal age restrictions
- Assist customers with product inquiries, offering recommendations based on their preferences and needs
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and reporting low stock items
- Uphold store policies on responsible alcohol sales, verifying legal age with ID checks and adhering to all regulations
- Handle customer concerns professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service environments, preferably in beverage or liquor stores
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and clearly
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and inventory management practices
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting merchandise, and organizing displays
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Demonstrated organizational skills to maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment
- A responsible attitude towards alcohol sales with understanding of legal requirements and phone etiquette when communicating with customers (ProServe)
