Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Meat Packer to join our food processing team. This role involves preparing and packaging meat products in a safe, efficient, and sanitary manner. Duties
- Packaged meat products according to specified weight, size, and packaging standards
- Operate packaging machinery and assist with mechanical troubleshooting when necessary
- Ensure all products meet food safety and sanitation guidelines throughout the packing process
- Perform meat cutting and butchery tasks as needed, maintaining proper hygiene practices
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and adhere to sanitation protocols to prevent contamination
- Assist in the preparation of meat for further processing or shipment
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Skills
- Experience with packaging, manufacturing, or food processing preferred
- Knowledge of the food industry standards, especially related to meat handling and sanitation
- Ability to perform meat cutting and butchery tasks with precision and care
- Mechanical knowledge helpful for operating and troubleshooting packaging equipment
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
- Good attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
