Diesel Mechanic
As a full-time Service technician with G.C. Hudson Supply, you will utilize your skills and experience to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Duties
- Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental units involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
- Maintain documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
- When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental units; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
- Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to management
- Other duties as assigned as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma
- 310T license/experience an asset
- Technical education at a university/college an asset
- 3-5 years’ experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Acceptable driver’s abstract
- Clean criminal record check
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Strong mechanical background and knowledge of various engines
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45+ lbs.
