Turning Leaf is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides person-centered, crisis and treatment services to low and high-risk vulnerable and marginalized individuals living with mental illness and intellectual challenge in our community. Turning Leaf’s support is customized to every individual’s needs and risk level. We offer crisis-intervention and treatment services, community support, day program services, residential support (including emergency housing, 24-hour homes, cluster housing, and home share), a harm reduction program, clinical services, indigenous services and more.

The participants of our programs are often deeply impacted by their circumstances which can become barriers to living safely and independently in the community. Trauma, homelessness, poverty, addictions, discrimination, sexual exploitation, societal stigmas, and lack of access to resources are some of the barriers our participants face every day.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Intensive Home Supports and Senior IHS Case Management, the Licensing and IHS Administrative Coordinator contributes to the efficient day-to-day operations of the IHS department.
The Licensing and IHS Administrative Coordinator is responsible to ensure all residential homes are up to provincial standards, performs various administrative duties and provides support to the Director of IHS in the areas of program planning, insurance, and reports.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age or older
- A current resume
- Criminal Record Check (no older than six months)
- Adult Abuse Registry Check (no older than six months)
- Child Abuse Registry Checks (no older than three months)
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of provincial residential licensing standards is an asset
- Minimum three years related work experience
- Three employment references

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIRES
- Ensure all licensed residential homes are adhering to:
o Provincial licensing requirements o Provincial fire codes (new and existing)
o Provincial health standard
- Create floor plans and fire safety plans for licensed residential homes
- Coordinate annual inspections, including furnace, fire, and health inspections
- Coordinate ongoing maintenance needs for all IHS programs
- Assist in the creation and expansion of IHS programs. This includes:
o Coordinating viewings for new homes
o Oversee provincial licensing standards
o Organizing and coordinating moving services
o Coordinate home services (i.e., phone, cable, hydro, etc.)
o Complete final licensing inspection to ensure all requirements are met
o Initiate zoning and permit process
- Oversee invoicing for third party staffing agencies
- Oversee the insurance needs for the IHS program
- Oversight of all leased properties for the IHS program
- Read and interpret legislation and policy pertaining to IHS Identify quality assurance and operational needs
EDUCATION
- Completion of a post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related area of study (Certificate, Diploma or Degree)
- Experience in Human Services is an asset
