Position summary
Department / Research Program: RESP Program
Research project: Trained immunity against fungal infections. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Research Associate will execute experiments using different types of biological assays, analyze, and present experimental data. The incumbent will also work with animals and potentially hazardous substances, while maintaining equipment and disposing of biological/hazardous wastes as required by environmental health and safety and applicable guidelines. The incumbent will ensure the proper maintenance of lab equipment and perform preventative maintenance as required. The incumbent will also manage the laboratory on a daily basis and train students in the required techniques, if necessary.
General Duties
- Work with the principal investigators to design and conduct projects focused on the implementation of evidence-based interventions to improve surgical outcomes in routine clinical practice,
- Liaise with external collaborators,
- Engage in administrative duties related to projects,
- Assist with reports, manuscripts, and grant applications.

Education / Experience
Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Immunology
Work Experience: 0-6 months
Required Skills
- Knowledge of French is required.
- An intermediate knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular contact, as well as processing specific information, with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English. The position also requires complex writing or in-depth analysis of documents in English related to a research project.
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with several people on a variety of projects,
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.

Status: Temporary, part-time: 25 hours
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Other or part-time
