Sabio Law LLP is a fast growing real estate and commercial law firm. We assist our clients in both real estate and commercial transactions and dispute resolution.
We are looking for a passionate and diligent Commercial Litigation Associate Lawyer to join and grow with the firm.
Responsibilities include:
- Advocating for clients at all levels of Court in Ontario including the Court of Appeal, Divisional Court, Superior Court of Justice including the Commercial List.
- Representing clients in matters relating to civil and commercial litigation, security enforcement, insolvency related litigation, including receiverships and bankruptcies;
- Litigating debtor/creditor disputes involving guarantees, fraud, transfers at undervalue, injunctive relief and other bankruptcy related matters;
- Handling complex files from intake to resolution with minimal guidance;
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and:
- At least three years of good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Hold a LLB or JD from a recognized institution
- Be a team player with strong communication skills, adaptability, and ability to develop strong relationships with diverse clients.
- Have an ability to handle a high volume of work in a timely manner with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent client service and organizational skills.
A ++ in both written and oral advocacy.
Preferably, the lawyer should have prior experience of at least three years in actively dealing with complex commercial litigation. The lawyer will have support of other lawyers and law clerks and legal assistant.
