Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Store Associate who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and takes pride in providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with product selection and answer questions.
- Bag bulk food items accurately while following food safety and hygiene standards.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
- Stock shelves and refill bulk bins to ensure products are available and well presented.
- Rotate inventory and monitor product quality and freshness.
- Complete daily cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary store.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
- Help customers locate products and provide recommendations when needed.
- Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations, and food handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Requirement to know English
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing stock counts
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25–50 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also demonstrating independence when needed
- Positive attitude with strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced retail setting
