As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Painter who can work independently, maintain strong production standards, and consistently deliver high-quality finishes. This role is intended for a reliable, skilled painter with approximately 2-8 years of professional experience. You should understand surface preparation and coating requirements, take pride in producing clean, consistent results, and be ready to continue developing toward a Senior Painter, Lead Painter, or Foreman position. We're actively interviewing and looking to fill this position immediately.
What You'll Be Doing
- Complete interior and exterior painting work on commercial, production residential, custom home, and renovation projects.
- Prepare surfaces properly through patching, sanding, masking, caulking, cleaning, and priming.
- Apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment where qualified and required.
- Produce clean cut lines, consistent coverage, and professional-quality finishes.
- Select and use appropriate primers, paints, and coatings for different surfaces and applications.
- Work independently on standard jobs while meeting project schedules and production expectations.
- Communicate professionally with coworkers, supervisors, builders, homeowners, and other trades.
- Support and guide junior painters or labourers when required.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Approximately 2-8 years of professional painting experience.
- Strong brushing and rolling skills with the ability to produce clean, consistent finishes.
- Sound knowledge of surface preparation requirements and common coating systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on standard painting projects.
- Reliable, punctual, productive, and committed to quality workmanship.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and performing active work throughout the day.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and reliable transportation.
Experience Considered an Asset
- Experience spraying walls, trim, cabinets, or other finishes.
- Experience leading a small crew or taking responsibility for an individual project.
- Experience with commercial projects, production homes, custom homes, or renovations.
- Knowledge of specialty coatings and advanced finishing techniques.
