Summary Our security organization is currently accepting applications for the role of Part Time Security Guard. The successful candidate will be mature, responsible and be willing and able to work all shifts including weekday, weekends and holidays. As we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this position is not geared for students however it would be well suited for a semi retiree. You will identify and report incidents at our clients permanent site. You will be responsible for the security and safety of our clients’ property. The Security Officer will tour the facility to identify any irregularities, observe protection and fire control equipment, uphold order, and enforce regulations for the facility in regards to the premises, personnel and visitors. You will be required to control the flow of traffic in and out of the facility.
Responsibilities
· Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises
· Provide excellent customer service
· Adhere to all company service and operating standards
· Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees
· Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
· Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigation
· Must be able to complete foot patrols in a manufacturing environment
Ideal Candidate
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Capable of following complex instructions
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of a warehouse environment
· Must have valid Security Licence
· CPR & Emergency First Aid
· Provide own safety shoes
