The Opportunity
Paragon Living is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Coordinator to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes across our residential construction and development projects. Reporting to the Construction Leadership Team, the Quality Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Trade Partners to ensure all residential suites
and projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, workmanship, and Resident Experience.
The successful candidate will play a key role in inspections, deficiency management, warranty support, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with company standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Conduct regular site inspections throughout all phases of multifamily construction, including structural, building envelope, interior finishing, common areas, amenity spaces, and occupancy readiness stages..

Verify that construction activities comply with company quality standards, project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building codes.

Develop, maintain, and update quality inspection checklists and procedures.

Monitor workmanship standards and identify areas for improvement.

Support the implementation of quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across all projects.
Deficiency Management

Identify, document, and track deficiencies throughout the construction process.

Manage company-wide deficiency tracking and reporting systems.

Coordinate corrective actions with Site Supervisors, Project Managers, and Trade Partners.

Verify completion and quality of corrective work before project milestones, occupancy approvals, and building turnover..

Analyze recurring deficiencies and recommend preventive measures.
Trade Partner & Vendor Coordination

Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to address quality concerns.

Communicate quality expectations and company standards to trade partners.

Conduct trade partner performance evaluations related to workmanship and quality.

Assist with onboarding and educating new trade partners on Paragon Living quality standards.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate inspection reports, quality records, photographs, and project documentation.

Track quality metrics, trends, and recurring issues.

Prepare regular reports for management on quality performance and improvement opportunities.

Ensure all documentation is organized and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
Warranty Support

Participate in suite inspections, occupancy readiness reviews, and building turnover activities.
- Support residents, Property Management, and Warranty teams in resolving quality-related concerns.
- Assist with warranty inspections, service requests, and follow-up activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and trade partners to ensure timely resolution of warranty and deficiency items.
- Help ensure residential suites, common areas, and amenity spaces meet Paragon Living quality standards and resident expectations.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Ensure compliance with Manitoba Building Code, National Building Code requirements, and company policies.

Conduct internal quality audits and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Assist in developing standardized quality control procedures and best practices.

Support training initiatives focused on quality standards and construction excellence.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 3 years of experience in residential construction, quality assurance, quality control, site supervision, project coordination, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of residential construction practices, materials, and building systems.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel between project sites.
Preferred Skills
-
Experience in multifamily residential, condominium, mixed-use, or purpose-built rental construction. Knowledge of Manitoba Building Code and National Building Code requirements.

Experience managing deficiencies, inspections, quality audits, or warranty claims.

Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, or similar platforms.

Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Gold Seal Certification, Construction Quality Management training, or other industry-related certifications considered an asset.
