Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Gas Bar Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to customers at the gas station, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be attentive to detail, and have a proactive approach to customer service. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or cashiering are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and sales opportunities.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles efficiently using POS systems
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and product sales accurately with cash handling skills
- Provide product demos and upsell additional items such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories
- Maintain cleanliness of the gas station area, including pumps, store shelves, and checkout counters
- Manage inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed (merchandising)
- Offer excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Utilize communication skills to inform customers about promotions or new products
- Operate POS systems smoothly while adhering to phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone or in person
- Assist in maintaining organized store displays and ensure compliance with safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic math for cash handling and transactions
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently with good organizational skills and time management
- Friendly demeanor with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if required
