Experience: 7–10 years in transportation or logistics operations, including 3–5 years in a leadership role
Work Setting: Transportation company operating 100+ trucks across Canada and the United States
Responsibilities
- Allocate material and human resources to implement organizational policies- Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs- Authorize and oversee key departments including dispatch, safety/compliance, accounting, and fleet maintenance- Coordinate and support operations across company locations, including maintenance facilities (body shops) in Moncton and Truro- Support operational planning and resource allocation aligned with company objectives- Lead negotiations with key clients, brokers, and shippers to secure and maintain business relationships- Represent the organization in negotiations with external partners, including insurance providers, factoring companies, and equipment suppliers, including truck and trailer vendors- Liaise with regulatory and government authorities to ensure compliance with transportation, safety, and operational requirements- Develop and implement performance metrics (KPIs) to improve operational efficiency and profitability- Select and supervise department leads and delegate authority as required to ensure efficient operations

10-15 people, including department leads (dispatch, safety, accounting, fleet maintenance)
