As an Apprentice Technician, you'll work alongside experienced Journeyman Technicians while gaining hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Kia vehicles. We are looking for motivated individuals in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of apprenticeship who are eager to continue growing their careers in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership.
What You'll Do
- Perform maintenance and repairs under the guidance of Journeyman Technicians.
- Complete scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, inspections, tire services, and brake repairs.
- Assist with diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using Kia diagnostic equipment.
- Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs according to Kia repair procedures.
- Perform multi-point inspections and accurately document findings.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring repairs are completed safely and correctly the first time.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and professional.
- Participate in daily shop meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all dealership safety procedures and manufacturer standards.
Qualifications
- Registered 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice in Alberta.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Own a basic set of tools appropriate for your apprenticeship level.
