Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educators at Level 2 and Level 3 to join our team. These positions are ideal for individuals committed to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. The role involves working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs, and requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Both full-time and internship opportunities are available, providing valuable experience in early childhood education.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support each child's individual needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress and daily activities
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance strategies
- Support children with disabilities or special needs through tailored instructional methods
- Utilize computer skills for record-keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Demonstrate effective time management to ensure all daily responsibilities are completed efficiently
- Exhibit leadership by mentoring newer staff or interns when applicable
- KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CHILD ACRE LICENSING RULES
Requirements
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills such as French are a plus
- Experience working with children in early childhood settings or classroom environments
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education is desirable
- Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Computer literacy including basic operation of educational software and documentation tools
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and demonstrate leadership qualities when needed
- Valid certifications in childcare or early childhood education preferred; relevant training will be provided for interns or entry-level applicants
