The office of Jim Bélanger, Member of Parliament for Sudbury East—Manitoulin—Nickel Belt is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Constituency Assistant position.
About the role:
As a Constituency Assistant, you will serve as the first point of contact for constituents, stakeholders, and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience in the Member of Parliament's constituency office. This role combines front-line client service, administrative support, and constituency casework responsibilities. Working closely with the Member of Parliament and office team, you will help deliver responsive, efficient, and compassionate service to members of the community.
Primary responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for constituents and visitors by providing professional reception, administrative, and communication support in a welcoming and responsive manner.

Manage constituency casework, including assisting constituents with inquiries and matters related to a variety of federal services, while ensuring accurate documentation and case tracking within the office's case management system.

Provide timely, confidential, and client-focused support to constituents, maintaining detailed records and notes using multiple tools including Microsoft Office.

Collaborate closely with the Member of Parliament and constituency office team to support daily operations.

Qualifications
Education:

Completion of secondary school education.
Experience:
- Experience working in an office setting providing reception or administrative support.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

Exceptional judgment and interpersonal skills, and ability to exercise diplomacy when interacting with the public and stakeholders.

Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to write clearly and concisely.

Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).

Knowledge of the riding of Sudbury East–Manitoulin–Nickel Belt.
