The Job Shoppe is hiring CNC Machinists to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision tooling and molds for the plastic injection molding industry. Location: Windsor, Ontario
Wage: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience
Start Date: Hiring immediately
Position Type: Full-Time, On-going (Must be available to work 40 hrs weekly plus overtime)
Shifts:
Afternoon Shift: 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Overtime as required based on production needs
What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines used to manufacture precision tooling and molds.
Responsibilities may include:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machining centers
- Perform full 3-axis and 5-axis CNC programming using WorkNC software
- Program and machine plates and tooling components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
- Verify dimensions and quality using precision measuring equipment
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and first-piece inspections
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet production schedules
- Maintain equipment and work area while following all safety and quality standards
Position Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience
- Experience with full 3-axis and 5-axis CNC programming
- Experience using WorkNC software
- Experience with plate programming
- Strong understanding of machining practices and precision tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
