Learn2ABA is seeking enthusiastic and reliable staff to support our summer camp and year-round after-school social group programs for children and youth.
This role involves working directly with clients to support social, communication, and daily living skills in a fun, structured, and supportive environment. Programs include group activities, play-based learning, and potnetially community outings.
This position is ideal for individuals working within school boards (e.g., Educational Assistants, Teachers, Support Staff) who are looking for meaningful summer employment.
Duties
- Support children and youth during camp and social group programming
- Facilitate social interactions, group activities, and play-based learning
- Implement basic ABA strategies (training can be provided)
- Assist with behaviour management using positive and proactive approaches
- Support development of communication, social, and daily living skills
- Participate in community outings while ensuring safety and engagement
- Collect basic data and communicate progress with supervisors
- Maintain a fun, inclusive, and structured environment
Skills
- Experience working with children or youth (required)
- Experience with autism or developmental disabilities (considered an asset)
- Background in education, psychology, ABA, Child & Youth Work, or related field (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, patient, and energetic approach
- Ability to follow direction and work independently
- Valid First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (required prior to start)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
