Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and gas engines, generators, and heating systems.
- Apply working knowledge of marine electrical and electronic systems in troubleshooting and repair.
- Service yachts and vessels up to 100 ft, ensuring a high standard of workmanship and reliability.
- Utilize product knowledge of Volvo Penta, Mercury, and Yanmar systems to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Provide professional customer service and technical support when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience working on diesel and gas marine engines, generators, heaters, and marine plumbing systems.
- Solid understanding of marine electrical and electronic systems.
- Demonstrated experience servicing vessels up to 100 ft.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Volvo Penta and/or Mercury engines (Yanmar an asset).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Full set of standard mechanic tools (specialty tools provided as required).
- Ability to commute to North Vancouver, BC.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid forklift license (or willingness to obtain).
- Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) (or willingness to obtain).
