Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves engaging with clients, demonstrating products, and providing exceptional service to drive sales and build lasting relationships. Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products or services
- Generate new flooring sales leads
- Visit contractors, builders, and retail clients
- Promote SPC flooring products. Conduct product demonstrations, including explaining features, benefits and technical data sheet clearly and effectively
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability.
- Utilize communication skills to educate customers about new products and promotions
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple customers while maintaining high service standards
- Uphold phone etiquette when interacting with clients over the phone or via digital communication channels
- Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, especially in technology or product demonstration roles, is preferred.
- Bilingual skills (English and French) are an asset, not mandatory.
- Familiarity with merchandising, POS systems, basic math, cash handling, and cashiering procedures is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening, are essential.
- Previous experience in B2B sales would be an asset.
- Experience in upselling techniques and customer service excellence will contribute to success in this role
- Organizational skills and time management are critical for balancing multiple responsibilities effectively
