Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensure a smooth flow of operations at our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality. This role is vital in providing an exceptional guest experience from the moment they arrive until they are seated and comfortable. Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude above all.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus with enthusiasm
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and provide accurate information about the restaurant’s offerings and policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously, escalating issues when necessary
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects excellent hospitality standards
Pay: $17.20-$32.33 per hour
