Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
Our Clients Construction Services Canada (CSC) team is seeking a fully qualified Project Coordinator to support critical pipeline Integrity Projects across our Canada Gas business operations. The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in project execution by providing financial coordination, purchase order (PO) management, cost reporting, and end-to-end project coordination support. Working closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Supply Chain, and field execution teams, you will ensure projects are properly set up, costs are controlled, and project reporting is accurate and timely. As a intermediate to senior coordinator, you will work within established corporate guidelines and may also review deliverables produced by junior project coordination staff.
Responsibilities

Financial & PO Management: Oversee the lifecycle of Purchase Orders (POs) and requisitions. Track vendor commitments, process scope adjustments, reconcile invoices against progress, and maintain robust cost controls.

Cost Tracking & Monthly Reporting: Generate monthly financial reports, accruals, variance analysis, and forecast updates. Partner with the CSC Business Analyst to safeguard data quality and reporting consistency.

Project Lifecycle Execution: Facilitate project setup, code allocation, work breakdown structure (WBS) alignment, and project closeout documentation across active integrity sites.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a central point of contact between field Construction Managers, Project Managers, Supply Chain, and third-party vendors to resolve operational or commercial roadblocks quickly.

Peer Leadership & Quality Review: Guide and review work products (such as PO logs, accrual sheets, and progress tracking) generated by junior project coordinators to maintain team output quality.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in process optimization, standardization, and data-alignment initiatives across the Canada Gas asset portfolio.

Qualifications
-
5+ years of progressive experience in project coordination, financial tracking, or construction administration within energy, infrastructure, or heavy industry.

Solid working knowledge of construction practices and field activities, preferably in natural gas pipelines, pressure equipment, or integrity management.

Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (such as SAP, Oracle, or EcoSys) for requisitions, PO tracking, and project financial reporting.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivots, cost modeling, data validation) with strong attention to quantitative detail.

Clear understanding of accruals, capital vs. operating expenditure, invoice verification, and cost forecasting techniques.

Ability to bridge technical field teams, corporate business analysts, and commercial supply chain personnel with clear written and verbal updates.

Capability to handle multiple fast-moving pipeline integrity projects simultaneously while meeting strict monthly reporting cycles.

Education and Certifications

University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline OR a Technical Diploma / Certificate in Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
