Responsibilities
- Deliver professional hair cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming services tailored to individual client preferences
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all workstations and tools in accordance with health regulations
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on hair care and styling options
- Upsell retail hair products and styling services to enhance client experience and salon revenue
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
- Foster a friendly and professional atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices through ongoing education
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations
- Proven experience in hair styling, cutting, coloring, or grooming preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Strong sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Ability to upsell retail products tactfully while focusing on client needs
- Good communication skills and a professional appearance
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
