Duties
- Supervise and train cashier staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and processing payments through the POS system.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues.
- Assist with merchandising efforts to enhance the shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Monitor inventory levels at the register and communicate with management regarding restocking needs.
- Utilize strong communication skills to foster a positive team environment and effectively engage with customers.
- Implement time management strategies to ensure efficient checkout processes during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is required; retail grocery experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail operations.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
