Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Tennis Instructor to join our sports and recreation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching tennis and possess excellent communication skills to motivate and instruct players of all ages and skill levels. This role offers an opportunity to promote physical activity, develop coaching skills, and contribute to a positive community environment.
Duties
- Conduct tennis lessons for individuals and groups of kids between the ages of 5-12, tailoring instruction to skill levels and learning objectives
- Develop lesson plans that focus on technique, strategy, and sportsmanship
- Monitor players’ progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills
- Organize and oversee tennis drills, games, and tournaments as needed
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines
- Assist with maintaining the tennis courts, equipment, and facilities in good condition
- Promote a fun, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all participants
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching tennis at various skill levels
- Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, rules, and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively instruct diverse groups
- Ability to motivate players and foster a positive learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on individual needs and age groups
- Professional attitude with a focus on safety, sportsmanship, and teamwork
