Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role involves working closely with patients to provide high-quality dental hygiene services, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit. The Dental Hygienist will also play a vital role in educating patients about oral health and preventive care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients.
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
- Utilize dental software such as Cleardent for documentation and patient management.
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding, and advancements in dental hygiene practices.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist is required.
- Proficiency in Cleardent Software and Perio Charting is Mandatory.
- Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and understanding of anatomy knowledge is essential.
- Familiarity with documentation review processes and maintaining accurate medical records is necessary.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while providing exceptional patient care.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and practices within a clinical setting.
