Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient operation of tow truck services. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, safety protocols, and the ability to handle various roadside situations professionally.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Assist customers with vehicle recovery and provide professional customer service during stressful situations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of tow trucks to ensure proper functioning.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or equipment.
- Safely load and unload vehicles using appropriate tools and techniques, including forklifts if necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including documentation of vehicle condition and recovery details.
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws while on duty to ensure personal and public safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding job status and any issues encountered.
Experience
- MUST HAVE AIR ENDORSMENT (Q)
- MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE STANDARD, SPLITTER AN ASSET
- Prior experience in commercial driving or automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and towing equipment is preferred.
- Customer service experience is a plus, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts or similar machinery is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience with roadside assistance or recovery operations will be considered an asset. Pay: $40,395.55-$98,078.57 per year
