WORKING HOURS
- Full-time position. Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm. Start times and hours may vary depending on the type of work scheduled.
- Scheduled overtime is paid at time-and -a-half, emergency call out work is double time (woohoo!)
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your day to day:
You’ll work alongside Journeypersons to:
- Install ductwork, spiral pipe, and HVAC systems on commercial job sites
- Troubleshoot and help with repairs and maintenance
- Learn how to manage materials and set up for job sites
- Load/unload tools and equipment—forklift/telehandler experience is a bonus!
- Grow your knowledge of safe rigging and hoisting equipment use
Safety and Compliance Awareness:
- Prioritize and adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, demonstrating a commitment to creating a safe work environment for oneself and others. This includes staying up-to-date with safety practices & procedures and being aware of legislative regulations.
Customer Service and Communication Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork are key, especially when working on
fast-paced job sites. As an apprentice, you’ll build confidence in asking for help, understanding instructions, and working closely with experienced tradespeople and crew members.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability:
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently. The HVAC Sheet Metal worker should be able to analyze problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner, adapting to various challenges encountered in the field.
Material Management:
- Efficiently load and unload equipment and materials required for HVAC jobs, ensuring readiness for installations and repairs. Forklift/telehandler ticket with hands-on experience is desirable. Knowledge of rigging & experienced using hoisting and lifting equipment an asset.
REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

- Commercial experience is valuable but not essential.
- Fall Protection and Aerial Lift Certification
- Clean Driver's Abstract.
