SpectacoKids is looking for a passionate and caring Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) / Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Brampton!
We provide ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and social/recreational programming for children and youth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and collaborating within a supportive clinical environment.
Position Details
- Location: Brampton, ON
- Position Type: Part-Time / Casual
- Primarily in-home sessions
- Ability to support centre-based sessions as needed
- Evening and weekend availability preferred
- Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
- Implement speech and language programs developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide engaging and individualized in-home support sessions
- Support children with communication, articulation, language development, social interaction, and play skills
- Prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to each child’s goals
- Assist with data collection and session documentation
- Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain a fun, supportive, and professional therapeutic environment
Qualifications
- Communication Disorders Assistant diploma or equivalent education required
- Experience working with children required
- Experience supporting children with autism or developmental needs is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check required
- First Aid & CPR certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
