What we expect
- Oversee daily billing, cash application, collections, and customer master data activities across Canada
- Own and deliver on KPIs including DSO, AR aging, billing accuracy, cash application rates, and productivity targets
- Lead dispute resolution processes and drive root-cause identification to reduce recurring issues
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of customer master data, including controls over new customer setup, terms changes, banking updates, and contact management
- Support TKE One transformation initiatives related to billing, cash application, and collections (execution and adoption)
- Map current state vs. future state processes; identify and close gaps
- Recommend and implement solutions to improve billing cycle time, remittance matching, and collections effectiveness
- Support system implementations, automation rollouts, and data governance frameworks as directed
- Lead and develop a team of managers/supervisors across billing, cash application, and collections
- Drive performance, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement across the team
- Conduct regular performance discussions, provide coaching, and support talent development
- Provide regular reporting on O2C performance, risk accounts, and key metrics to senior leadership
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, project management, sales, and legal to resolve billing discrepancies and improve the customer experience
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in billing, collections, cash application, or accounts receivable operations
- Minimum 3 years in a people leadership role managing supervisors or managers
- Strong understanding of construction/service industry billing practices, including milestone billing, holdback/retention, progress payments, and change orders
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational change
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred:
- Experience in the elevator, construction, or field services industry
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP, GetPaid, Salesforce, or similar AR/billing systems
- Experience supporting or participating in ERP transformation or system implementation projects
- CPA designation or equivalent considered an asset
