Position Overview
Noyaa is seeking a highly organized and analytical Operations Supervisor to oversee the restaurant's back-end operations. This is an office-based role focused on inventory control, purchasing, operational organization, financial reporting, and process management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in Excel, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
This position has limited floor responsibilities and is primarily responsible for ensuring operational efficiency behind the scenes.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Stock Management
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts across all departments.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory without overstocking or shortages.
- Track inventory variances and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and loss.
Purchasing & Vendor Management
- Source products, supplies, and equipment from approved vendors.
- Obtain competitive pricing and negotiate with suppliers.
- Create and manage purchase orders.
- Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
Financial & P&L Support
- Assist in preparing and reviewing weekly and monthly Profit & Loss reports.
- Monitor food, beverage, and operational costs.
- Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare financial reports and operational summaries for management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Operations Administration
- Organize operational documents, contracts, invoices, and vendor records.
- Maintain digital filing systems and operational databases.
- Assist with licensing, permits, insurance, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure operational procedures and checklists are updated and followed.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and operational projects.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets and operational dashboards.
- Generate inventory, purchasing, and cost analysis reports.
- Monitor key operational KPIs.
- Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Organization & Process Improvement
- Create structured systems for inventory, purchasing, and office administration.
- Standardize operational procedures.
- Improve workflow efficiency across departments.
- Support implementation of new operational systems and software.
Administrative Support
- Process invoices and reconcile vendor statements.
- Coordinate with accounting regarding expenses and payments.
- Assist with payroll-related documentation when required.
- Support management with administrative and operational projects.
Floor & Service Support (Limited)
- Provide operational support during major events or exceptionally busy service periods.
- Assist with resolving operational issues when needed.
- Support management with service execution during peak business hours.
- Ensure operational standards are maintained throughout the restaurant.
Qualifications Required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence.
- Reliable personal vehicle (required for sourcing products, vendor visits, and operational errands).
Preferred
- Background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
- Hospitality or restaurant industry experience is an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and accounting software.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing systems, analyzing numbers, managing inventory, and improving operational efficiency. You'll spend most of your time in the office working with spreadsheets, reports, vendors, and inventory, while occasionally supporting restaurant operations during key service periods or special events. A strong foundation in mathematics, accounting, or finance is a significant asset, and advanced Excel skills are essential for success in this position.
Pay: $55,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
