We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House - Pastry Counter/POS Attendant to join our team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections at the pastry counter
- Prepare and display pastries, ensuring freshness and visual appeal
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process orders efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and change giving with precision
- Upsell bakery items and promote specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the pastry counter area in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage inventory levels of pastries and supplies, restocking as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and dietary considerations
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of food industry standards and serving protocols
