About the role:
We're on the lookout for a part-time Medical Office Assistant to work in our office located in Cambridge, Ontario. This role has a strong potential to turn into a full-time position. We are looking for someone who is organized, compassionate and fun to work with! If you're the type who love to keep things running smoothly, making patients feel cared for, and bring positive energy to the workplace, you'll fit right in.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to work independently, and collaborate with interprofessional teams
- Answering phone calls, returning messages, and following up with client calls
- Booking appointments for multiple physicians, reminder calls, and patient follow ups
- Distribution of final reports to referring physicians
- Cleaning and processing of holter monitors
- Dictation of final reports
- Keep a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation. Including proper care of computers, monitors, and other equipment
- Effectively collaborate with other colleagues and management team
- Performing ECGs/Holter Monitors - Training will be provided
- Verifying patient demographics
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in a recognized Medical Office Assistant or Medical Office Administration program or related experience
- Knowledge in medical terminology considered an asset
- 1-2 years experience in related field preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Experience with EMR use is considered an asset

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
