Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across our facilities during evening work and Sunday mornings as needed. Our main accounts take place in Exeter and Seaforth area.
In this energetic role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, coordinate tasks, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service. Your leadership will help maintain a pristine environment that promotes health, safety, and a positive experience for all visitors and employees.
This job is perfect for a candidate who has great attention to detail, cleaning experience, and who is available to work part time shifts.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to quality standards
- Train and mentor custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of cleaning equipment
- Monitor team performance to meet operational goals
- Conduct inspections of work areas to verify cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper use of custodial supplies
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Communicate clearly with team members, management, and clients to address concerns or special requests
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting protocols
- Bring supplies to and from office to accounts (time in car paid for working hours)
- Responsible for codes and keys for buildings; assuring buildings are left up to standard and secured
Experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervisory or team lead roles in cleaning services
- Familiarity with cleaning tasks
- Strong understanding of commercial cleaning standards and procedures
- Excellent communication skills for effective team coordination and customer service
- Ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing manual tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- MUST have recent clean background check
- MUST have own full G and own vehicle
- Available for evening work and rotating Sunday morning as needed
- Assertive but brings a friendly atmosphere
- WHMIS trained or willingly to be trained
- CPR and first aid a huge asset
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
