Job Summary

The role also works closely with research and breeding teams to support crop development and commercial objectives.
Job Description
- Support laboratory operations, including fungal culture media preparation, pathogen culturing, and purification of plant pathogens.
- Conduct controlled-environment disease resistance evaluations for crops such as canola, camelina, and Brassica vegetables under the supervision of plant pathology staff.
- Assist with disease screening projects, including seed treatment trials and special research initiatives.
- Produce inoculum for field trials and controlled-environment disease screening programs.
- Support field trials by collecting plant health data and assisting with related field activities.
- Collaborate with breeding operations and cross-functional teams to improve processes and ensure high-quality disease screening results.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation following established protocols and quality standards.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and participate in required safety training.
- Comply with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and participate in related quality programs.

Education/Training/Certifications
- Degree or diploma in Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
- Shift: 07:00AM
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $22.45 to $30.45 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
