Qualifications
- Journeyperson Welder Certificate (Alberta) or equivalent experience
- Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement (RSE) considered an asset
- CWB certification (GMAW/MIG) an asset
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work specifications
- Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
- Perform MIG welding on structural and fabricated components
- Prepare materials for welding (cleaning, fitting, positioning)
- Operate hand and power tools related to fabrication and welding
- Assist with basic fabrication and metal shaping as required
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
- Track materials and report shortages to supervisor
- Follow all company procedures and safety standards
- Wear required PPE at all times (employee must have own helmet and steel-toe boots)
- Work overtime as required

- Hazards associated with working in a fabrication shop (i.e. noise, machinery)
Physical Requirements
Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing paint specifications for extended periods of time; and extensive reading. The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time and will require good physical attributes for lifting and handling of heavy materials.

Pay: $32.00 per hour
