Our client has been in business for over 50 years providing leading edge vacuum and over pressure technology worldwide. They are actively seeking to hire a Repair Pump Technician to join their growing team. The individual will be responsible for the coordination of activities and all documentation related to the workshop and field service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate incoming equipment and identify necessary repairs
- Determine the required parts and estimate the time needed for the work
- Prepare an assessment to submit to the supervisor for approval
- Refurbish vacuum pumps: disassemble, clean parts, and reassemble pumps, making the necessary adjustments according to specified tolerances
- Perform functional tests and record the results
- Use various specialized equipment such as sandblasting systems, industrial washing machines, machine tools, etc.
- Adhere to ISO quality standards and internal processes
- Provide support to other technicians as needed
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor
- Be available, on occasion, for external or urgent service calls
- Ensure the workspace is clean, safe, and meets established standards
- Foster and encourage a positive attitude for all team members
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field
- Red Seal Millwright certificate (preferred)
- 5 years of experience repairing mechanical equipment, rotate equipment (ideally pumps or compressors)
- Customer service experience (an asset)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Strong aptitude for diagnostics and precision mechanical repair
- Analytical mindset, thoroughness, autonomy, and attention to detail
- Team spirit, positive attitude, and sense of responsibility
- Good prioritization skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
