Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative at Kawartha Metals Corp. is responsible for introducing and providing excellent customer service and quality to new and existing customers. They will be responsible for quoting, selling, and ensuring their customer orders are completed with maintaining communication with the Production and Distribution Supervisors. While also recruiting new business opportunities through cold calls and current customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Create sales orders for incoming customer calls and emails daily.
· Source material and provide pricing to customers.
· Negotiate terms and prices with margin and consult the Sales Manager on the items that exceed authorized limits.
·Utilize AutoCAD and other modeling/design software to prepare detailed and accurate quotes. Troubleshoot technical issues related to part geometry, nesting and/or machining stratgegies.
· Maintain communication with Distribution, Production and Logistics to ensure all customer orders are completed and delivered within a timely manner.
· Complete cold calls to potential new customers during down time.
· Adhere to all policies and procedures of the organization and work in a safe manner.
· Other duties/projects as assigned by the Management team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Statistical and analytical knowledge using general business math skills.
· Knowledge of the steel/metal industry.
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Organizational skills and high attention to detail.
· Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Experience in AutoCAD and/or CAD/CAM software
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Interpersonal and customer service skills.
Education and Experience:
· Business Diploma an asset.
· Three to Five years experience in a sales role.
· Three to Five years experience in the steel industry an asset.
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
