Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Owner Operator Truck Driver to join our team, responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely across various routes Alberta to USA. This role offers the flexibility of operating your own vehicle while maintaining a high standard of service. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation, with a strong focus on safety and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety standards and regulations during operations.
- Manage route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as an owner operator or similar role.
- Familiarity with freight handling, forklift operation, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to address minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment and freight transportation.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record.
This position requires a responsible individual with excellent driving skills, technical knowledge of heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety standards. The role offers the opportunity for independence while contributing significantly to our logistics operations through reliable service delivery.
Pay: $100,000.00-$170,000.00 per year
