Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Operate POS systems for order processing and payments while maintaining quick service times.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for all patrons.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously during busy hours.
- Previous experience in serving or food preparation demonstrates reliability and competence in food service operations.
