Reporting to the Manager of Digital Health Marketing and Communications, the Senior Communications Advisor, Nova Scotia eServices Program collaborates with leaders and teams to support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing operation of digital tools such as Ocean eReferral and Novari solutions, including ATC, MIRM, and eRequest, across clinical areas. The Nova Scotia eServices Program aims to improve access to care, reduce wait times, and streamline workflows by transitioning from fax-based processes to integrated digital solutions.
Working closely with colleagues in Communications and Marketing, the position leads strategic communications planning and execution for eServices initiatives, projects, and operational activities; including developing and implementing communication plans to support system adoption, readiness, stabilization, and sustainment; translating technical and operational information into clear, user-friendly communications for diverse audiences; supporting organizational change management; and coordinating stakeholder engagement and collaborating with clinical, operational, technical, vendor, and communications teams.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in the communications and public relations sector
- Knowledge of best practice related to communications, public relations, engagement, media relations, crisis communications and engagement
- System-focused thinking with strong analysis and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
- A track record for providing effective counsel and support to executive leaders
- Ability to support internal and external collaborative relationships
- Ability to work effectively within cross-departmental teams
- Experience with high-profile public relations issues and in reputation management
- Interest and ability to work within social media;
- Ability to use current technology to communicate effectively
- Ability to manage multiple complex and high priority projects, delivering on budget and on time
- Demonstrated success in desktop publishing and basic layout design
- Assets include:
- Experience in the health sector, particularly roles that involve digital transformation and change management communications, as well as end user training, education, awareness, adoption and engagement communications
- Knowledge of IAP2 principles and practices
- Knowledge of change theory and change management practices
- Exceptional skills in preparing internal and external engagement strategies with demonstrated success in developing effective content and engaging audiences

$41.95 - $52.43 Hourly
