Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice, providing administrative support, managing patient records, and coordinating with medical staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical or dental office settings, proficiency with electronic medical records, and strong administrative skills. A background in human resources, supervising experience, and familiarity with medical terminology are highly valued. Duties
- Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-up communications efficiently
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Dentrix
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claims processing
- Support human resources functions including onboarding new staff and managing employee records
- Supervise administrative staff to ensure office operations run smoothly
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate patient care and clinic workflows
- Handle correspondence, phone inquiries, and patient inquiries professionally
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
- Assist with budgeting and inventory management for office supplies and equipment
- Support hospital or acute care operations as needed, including documentation and recordkeeping
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment is preferred
- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar electronic medical records systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and insurance processes
- Experience in human resources management within a healthcare setting is a plus
- Supervisory experience overseeing administrative or clerical staff is advantageous
- Background in hospital or acute care environments, including nursing or healthcare administration, is beneficial
- Familiarity with budgeting processes related to healthcare practices or hospital departments is preferred

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
