Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints and coatings, and producing high-quality finishes on residential and commercial projects. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working in a team environment.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coatings.
- Apply paint, primers, varnishes, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other application methods.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform surface preparation and finishing tasks efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all painting activities.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished surfaces to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials after use.
Skills
- Previous painting experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
