Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Depot Machine Operator/Helper to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment and assisting with various construction and landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy machinery, including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and paving equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and paving machines to support landscaping and construction projects
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Perform equipment inspections and basic repairs as needed to maintain safety standards
- Support excavation, grading, paving, and horizontal drilling tasks according to project specifications
- Handle material movement using heavy machinery in accordance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and productivity
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and paving machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment effectively
- Construction or landscaping experience preferred
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus for transporting equipment or materials
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Prior experience in heavy equipment operation or construction is highly desirable
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
