The Payment Reconciliation Specialist plays a key role in the revenue cycle by ensuring accurate invoicing, timely transaction recording, and proactive follow-up on outstanding accounts. This position is part of the Billing & AR team and works closely with business partners to support revenue reporting and reduce the risk of revenue loss.

Your Mission:
- Support end-to-end patient and insurance accounts receivable activities
- Review billing transactions for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor collections activity and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist in resolving billing, reimbursement and payor issues in partnership with operations teams
- Ensure consistent application of billing and revenue cycle processes across all operating units, adhering to policies, compliance standards, and payer requirements
- Investigate reconciling items and escalate issues as appropriate
- Support the Accounting team during month-end close and audits, including reconciliations, schedules, and responding to auditor requests
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation efforts
What You Bring to the Table:
Education:
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree considered an asset).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue cycle or financial operations
- Experience with monthly reconciliations and general accounting
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance billing an asset
Skills:
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- High attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Collaborative team player
- Comfortable working in a growing, evolving organization
- English proficiency is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bilingualism (French and English) may be required depending on the specific role, location, and the needs of the organization
Compensation: At BioScript, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
