Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This role involves fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and promoting early learning through engaging activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be bilingual in English and French, and have experience working with children, including those with disabilities or in special education settings. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of children.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support children's individual needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress and daily activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and classroom strategies.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing tailored assistance.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and safety standards.
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant staff or volunteers when necessary.
- Manage time efficiently to balance lesson planning, classroom supervision, and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly preferred.
- Experience working with children in early childhood settings; classroom experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education best practices, and special education needs.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Computer literacy for documentation, planning, and communication purposes.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and effective time management skills.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for early childhood education and child welfare.
Pay: From $25.86 per hour
