We invite passionate and dedicated educators to join the team at Morrin School as a full-time Junior High and Senior High Science Teacher in our vibrant and welcoming rural school community, located just 20 minutes north of Drumheller. This is a full-time probationary contract position commencing the first day of the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will primarily teach senior high sciences, particularly Science 10, Chemistry, and Physics, while also supporting junior high science, complementary option classes, and other subject areas as needed.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with students in Grades 7–12 during an important stage of their academic and personal development. The successful candidate will create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, problem solving, and real-world application of scientific concepts. Strong relationship-building skills are essential, as fostering positive and respectful connections with students is a key part of supporting both achievement and student well-being.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, student-centered educator who brings energy, flexibility, and a passion for science education to the classroom. Responsibilities include designing and delivering meaningful learning experiences aligned with the Alberta curriculum, supporting students in developing scientific literacy and inquiry skills, and contributing positively to a caring, community-focused school culture grounded in connection, character, and opportunity.
The teaching assignment may include Early Years science and math, Middle Years science, math, and option classes, as well as Senior High Chemistry, Physics, and option classes.
