Overview
We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our produce packing team. Responsibilities include grading and sorting fresh vegetables, removing defective product, packing vegetables according to quality standards, maintaining a clean work area, and following all food safety and workplace safety procedures.
Duties
- Inspect vegetables for quality, size, and ripeness, ensuring only the best products are packed for sale
- Sort vegetables according to size, grade, and quality specifications
- Operate hand tools and basic machinery to assist with harvesting and packing processes
- Load and unload vegetables using heavy lifting techniques and heavy equipment when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas to meet safety and hygiene standards
- Follow safety protocols during all activities involving farm machinery and tools
- Support overall packing operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during sorting and packing processes
Pay: $17.95 per hour
